“One of the main reasons I chose Interpro was their clear understanding of the complexities of the Spanish language and variances based on geographic location. It was important to me to have the exam translated specifically to the Spanish used in Puerto Rico today. I cannot tell you enough how pleased I am in every part of doing business with Interpro Translation Solutions. The finished product is perfect, delivered ahead of schedule, communication has been clear and consistent, and every person has been pleasant and wonderful to work with. You have exceeded my expectations in so many ways, and I am glad I chose to partner with Interpro on this important project.”

-Matissa Sammons, MA, CCHP; Vice President; National Commission on Correctional Health Care

National Commission on Correctional Health Care’s (NCCHC) mission is to improve the quality of health care in jails, prisons and juvenile confinement facilities. NCCHC establishes standards for health services in correctional facilities, operates a voluntary accreditation program for institutions that meet those standards, produces resource publications, conducts educational conferences and offers certification for correctional health professionals.

NCCHC’s national certification, the Certified Correctional Health Professional (CCHP) designation is available to eligible candidates in US states and territories. A company in Puerto Rico, in particular, has called upon the organization recently to provide education and training, as well as exam administration, for the health care professionals who work in Puerto Rico’s prisons and jails. Puerto Rico has Spanish and English as it’s languages, but according to the 2017 US census, the English fluency rate was estimated at only 20%. The CCHP exam is designed to test knowledge of NCCHC’s standards, not English language proficiency.

NCCHC’s goal is to provide its candidates with the best possible path to certification success. NCCHC began looking for a translation service provider with a proven track record to meet their high-quality standards. Interpro Translation Solutions was their first choice for quality translation services.
