Our History
Your Partner in Language Solutions Since 1995
At Interpro, we have a rich history of milestones in providing comprehensive language translation and localization services. From our founding, we have adapted to the evolving needs of industries, ensuring that your message resonates with audiences around the world.
1995
First day in business - Interpro opened its doors as an AS/400 software localization company and expanded to include DOS and Windows software and online help localization.
1996
Interpro began its relationships with the team at Honeywell Sensing and Control who then founded M45 Marketing, and with an IBM division that would later become MAPICS Corporation.
1996
Interpro begins offering desktop publishing services: the formatting of translated content in authoring and design applications.
1998
Interpro begins providing translation and fulfillment services to IBM PSG (Personal Systems Group) Latin America.
2001
Interpro opens an office in Rosario, Argentina managed by Juan Carlos Quieta.
2002
First multiple language mobile localization project for Qualcomm (BREW International Products).
2002
CEO Ralph acquires 100% of Interpro stock, becoming the sole company owner.
2003
Interpro donates Trados licenses to Northern Illinois University to support students studying translation.
2004
Became proficient in eLearning authoring applications and began offering multilingual training localization.
2005
Interpro celebrates its 10th anniversary.
2008
Interpro translates over 2 million words of vital healthcare-related documents into Spanish, Tagalog, Traditional Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese for healthcare provider Wellcare in compliance with State of California Senate Bill 853.
2008
Interpro is selected to localize IBM’s 2000 Olympics Website into multiple languages.
2010
Interpro celebrates its 15th anniversary and is awarded the Annual Award for Business Excellence.
2015
Interpro celebrates its 20th anniversary.
2016
WORDS! Interpro’s Marketing collateral wins the American Advertising Federation of Northern Illinois 2016 Addy Gold Award.
2017
Interpro expands Interpreting services by providing Remote Simultaneous Interpretation (RSI).
2021
Interpro is awarded ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 17100:2015 certifications for Quality Management and Translation Services.
2022
Adopted RemoteFirst culture and purchased a new HQ in the Chicago suburb of Wheaton, IL.
2024
Interpro enhances AI translation service offerings, including Machine Translation Post-Editing, Quality Scoring, and Custom Engine Building.

Nicholas Strozza steps into the role of CEO, continuing Interpro’s legacy as a proud family-owned business.
2025
Interpro celebrated its 30th anniversary on March 5th, 2025.
